With Summer fast approaching it means another successful year at Woll is coming to an end.
Firstly, we would all love to share our great appreciation for Clare and Jay who have finished up as directors at Woll. Their enthusiasm and passion for Woll went above and beyond and will both be sadly missed. So, on behalf of everyone we thank you and wish you all the best. The question now is, ‘who’s coming next?’. Tristan worked at Woll in 2016 and is coming back to direct for the November to January period which we are all very excited for!
Thank you also to all who came to the Garden Party over the weekend! We got lots done in the wonderful weather: we planted 150+ native plants to revegetate the river bank and woodlot, we pulled out lots of weeds, we planted globe artichokes, nasturtiums, borage, cabbages and many other seedlings into garden beds and we propagated summer vegies. Spring is a busy and beautiful time in the garden!
We appreciate all the help over the weekend. It means that young people can connect with where their food comes from, and we can enjoy tasty, fresh and local produce.
Stay tuned for more garden updates this Spring...
Our 30th Anniversary has come and gone and with the generosity from all friends and family of Wollangarra, we managed to raise much needed funds to be able to continue our work in allowing kids to learn to connect back to the land. There are lots of little projects going on at Wollangarra all the time, relating to building, maintenance and keeping our courses running smoothly, which rely on donations from our supporters. We really appreciate any contribution! All donations are tax deductible!
Thanks for reading and hopefully see you up at Wollangarra soon!
