Legacy and Loss at Thanksgiving

By Susan Oertle | Co-Founder

Rest in Peace, Caroline
Rest in Peace, Caroline

The Angel Projects is very saddened to have to report that Caroline, one of the members of our Elderly Project, has passed away.  However, Caroline's final years of life were filled with dignity, health, companionship, and happiness. She is now at peace, and her love and legacy live on. Thank you to everyone who has supported our Elderly Project and provided life-changing services for Caroline and the other members of the ministry.

We are very happy to report that Faith, one of the first members of the Saving Grace Project and a sponsored student, is recovering from her health scare and is back at school. She recently visited the Angel Projects Uganda compound and spent an afternoon making bracelets to sell in order to help pay for her tuition. These bracelets will soon be available for purchase on our website. We are so glad that Faith is back to her regular life, and we are truly grateful to all our sponsors who answered the call and helped us get her the medical care she so desperately needed.

Another wonderful update is that last week our Ugandan staff members held their first computer class as the teachers!  Their first student is named Linata, and she's a young woman who is passionate about technology and eager to learn as much as she can before heading to college.  Our hope is that this basic computer knowledge will help her in her studies and future career and will give her an advantage once she finishes secondary school. We are so grateful to our sponsors who helped us purchase a new laptop and Internet access for our computer classes. You are truly lifechangers!

During this Thanksgiving season, we at The Angel Projects appreciate the love and support of our sponsors as well as the hard work and dedication of our staff and the members of our various projects. We have a lot to be grateful for!  Have a blessed Thanksgiving!
