Making Strides Towards a Better Future

The Angel Projects' Women and Girls Empowerment Projects continue to thrive in Rubuguri, Uganda!  Our staff have taken on a couple new ladies to serve in our Elderly Project, and their quality of life has increased exponentially. After receiving new bedding and other household supplies as well as medical care, nutritious food, and help around the house, these valued members of the community are feeling much more loved and much happier! The Angel Projects Uganda staff members do an amazing job of building relationships with these elderly women and meeting any need they may have in order to ensure that they have a longer and healthier life. The help that the members of our Elderly Project receive is vital because they have no other means of support, and they are so grateful to both our staff members and to you, our donors, for helping to bring them happiness and hope during their golden years.

Our computer classes are also progressing well! Two of our staff members have been fully trained and are now serving as teachers in the computer classes.  Our first student, Linata, is learning very quickly and is really enjoying this new experience.  We are about to add another student to the roster, and we are so thankful for the recent donations of both money and equipment that will help us to continue to expand this program. Technology skills are not something that are taught in local schools, but they are valuable skills that will help these students to be successful in post-secondary education and/or to be much more employable.  Just by learning basic computer skills, these students are greatly increasing their chances of reaching their future goals and being able to provide for their families.

Finally, we are very happy to report that our sponsored student, Aquila, is thriving in high school. Aquila became pregnant in primary school as a result of a sexual assault, and it seemed that she would be unable to continue her education. Fortunately, The Angel Projects was made aware of her situation, and we've been able to provide Aquila with tuition for her schooling and childcare for her precious son so that she can continue her studies. Aquila is so thankful to be in high school, and she works really hard and earns good grades. She is also a loving and attentive mother, and both she and her son are thriving.  We feel so privileged to be able to help Aquila chase her dreams and create a brighter future for herself and her little family.

Thank you so much to all of our sponsors who continue to help us change lives in Rubuguri!
