Since its inception, HDIF has had many volunteers walk through its doors that have each left a solid impact and contributed to our growth. We currently have two amazing volunteers that we wanted to take the time to highlight!
Our first volunteer, Christine, joins us from Boston, Massachusetts. Through Birthright Armenia, she has devoted her summer to volunteering in her ancestral homeland. Back home she is an undergraduate student at the University of Massachusetts Boston studying accounting. She will be graduating this upcoming year and has plans to pursue a master's degree in accounting. Christine is thrilled to be volunteering in her native land especially because her role at HDIF has a significant impact on the lives of people in the Armenia's rural communities.
Next up, we have Alek, an incoming Junior at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign pursuing a BFA in Industrial Design. His career goal is to design sports apparel with a focus on athletic footwear. He has had a passion for footwear design from a very young age and hopes to one day develop innovative products to help athletes perform at their absolute best. Alek is currently volunteering at HDIF this summer through the AYF Internship in Armenia program designing bags and accessories. It has been a very rewarding journey for him this summer to be part of a unique group of people to help improve the lives of Armenians living in Armenia while also gaining design and professional experience in his homeland.
HDIF would sincerely like to thank Alek and Christine for all their hard work and contribution to HDIF's devotion to create jobs in Armenia! Without volunteers like them and donors like you, our mission would be much more difficult to reach. We hope that we continue to receive love and devotion from volunteers and donors around the world.
Thank you from the HDIF family!
