Dear Friends,
As we step into a new year, we’re excited to share how our Women Empowerment project in Villa Ojo de Agua is already coming back to life, thanks to your continued support.
After a well-deserved break during December and January, we resumed our work in February, focusing on planning and organizing the activities that will guide us through 2026. This time of preparation is key to ensuring that every workshop we offer truly responds to the needs and aspirations of the women we work with.
In March, we experienced a very special moment. The women came together not just to learn, but to give back. During a collective activity, they handcrafted notebooks that were later delivered to children in rural schools at the beginning of the school year. It was a beautiful reminder that empowerment also means becoming agents of change within their own communities.
Now, in April, we are ready to fully restart our workshops. Our beloved amigurumi sessions will begin once again, continuing to be a space of creativity, learning, and connection. At the same time, we are working to expand our offer by developing new training opportunities in crafts such as ceramics and the production of regional goods, opening new paths for income generation and personal growth.
This new cycle is full of possibilities. Each step we take is guided by the same purpose: to support women in building skills, confidence, and sustainable opportunities for themselves and their families.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support makes every new beginning possible.
With gratitude,
Fundación San Genaro Team
