CRITICAL FUNDING STATUS REPORT
EMPOWERING WOMEN IN LIBERIA PROGRAM
URGENT: IMMEDIATE FUNDING REQUIRED TO PREVENT PROGRAM SUSPENSION
Executive Summary
This report serves as an urgent notification regarding the critical funding status of the Empowering Women in Liberia program. Due to a complete absence of donations during the last reporting period, our organization faces an immediate threat to program continuity and our ability to fulfill our mission of empowering women to achieve economic self-sufficiency.
Current Financial Status
We regret to inform all stakeholders that Empowering Women in Liberia has received zero donations during the most recent funding period. This unprecedented shortfall has placed our entire program in jeopardy and threatens the livelihoods of the women and families we serve.
Funding Category Previous Period Current Period Variance
Individual Donations $12,450 $0 -100%
Corporate Sponsorships $8,200 $0 -100%
Grant Funding $15,000 $0 -100%
Total Funding $35,650 $0 -100%
Program Impact Assessment
The absence of funding has created a cascading effect throughout our organization and the communities we serve. Our core mission to empower women through skills training, microfinance support, and business development is now at risk of complete suspension.
Immediate Consequences
Without immediate funding intervention, the following critical program components will be affected:
Skills Training Programs: 150 women currently enrolled in vocational training courses including tailoring, food processing, and agricultural techniques will lose access to education and certification opportunities.
Microfinance Support: 85 women with pending loan applications for small business ventures will be unable to receive financial support, preventing them from achieving economic independence.
Business Development Services: Mentorship programs serving 200+ women entrepreneurs will be discontinued, leaving participants without crucial guidance during critical business development phases.
Community Outreach: Educational workshops on financial literacy, health, and women's rights reaching 12 rural communities will be suspended indefinitely.
Long-term Implications
The suspension of our programs will have devastating effects on the women and families who depend on our services. Many participants are sole breadwinners supporting multiple family members, and the loss of these opportunities will perpetuate cycles of poverty and dependence.
Operational Challenges
The funding crisis has created multiple operational challenges that threaten our organizational sustainability:
Staff Retention: Three full-time program coordinators and five part-time trainers face potential layoffs, resulting in loss of institutional knowledge and community relationships.
Facility Maintenance: Our training centers in Monrovia and Gbarnga require immediate repairs and equipment maintenance that cannot be funded.
Transportation: Outreach programs to rural communities have been suspended due to lack of funds for vehicle fuel and maintenance.
Materials and Supplies: Training materials, equipment, and basic supplies for workshops are depleted with no resources for replenishment.
Urgent Funding Requirements
To prevent complete program suspension and resume full operations, Empowering Women in Liberia requires immediate funding support in the following areas:
Priority Level Program Area Funding Needed Timeline
Critical Staff Salaries (3 months) $18,000 Immediate
Critical Facility Operations $8,500 Within 2 weeks
High Training Materials/Equipment $12,000 Within 1 month
High Microfinance Loan Pool $25,000 Within 6 weeks
Medium Transportation/Outreach $5,000 Within 2 months
Total Immediate Need All Programs $68,500 6 months operations
Call to Action
We urgently appeal to all stakeholders, donors, and supporters to help us bridge this critical funding gap. The women in our programs represent the future of their communities, and their success stories demonstrate the transformative power of targeted empowerment initiatives.
Every dollar donated will directly impact a woman's journey toward self-sufficiency and economic independence. We are committed to transparent reporting and will provide detailed updates on fund utilization and program outcomes.
How to Help
Immediate support can be provided through:
Direct monetary donations to our emergency fund
Corporate sponsorship opportunities
Grant writing assistance for institutional funding
In-kind donations of training materials and equipment
Volunteer support for program delivery
Conclusion
The mission of Empowering Women in Liberia remains as vital today as when we first began this work. The current funding crisis, while severe, represents a temporary challenge that can be overcome with the support of our community and stakeholders.
We remain committed to our vision of empowered, economically independent women leading their communities toward prosperity. However, without immediate financial support, we face the devastating prospect of suspending operations at a time when our services are most needed.
We respectfully request your urgent consideration of our funding needs and look forward to continuing our partnership in empowering women across Liberia.
