Tigoung Nonma have been busy participating in Récréatrales a local arts and theatre festival. It is an opportunity for local organisations and businesses to increase their profits and raise awareness about what they do. When I was in Burkina Faso we participated and it was absolutely brilliant! The streets were all decorated, African and French proverbs were written all around and there was music, theatre productions and lots of people running their different businesses along the dusty streets. Lots of tailors and other local people were able to display their products and TN even wrote a play which was great fun. We ran the catering service and sold lots of crafts! I hope that this year is as successful as we are coming up to Christmas now so it is a great chance for TN to make some money!
Now that TN have successfully purchased land and a building to renovate we are running another fundraising evening in the UK which will take place on Saturday :) I absolutely cannot wait! It should be a good evening, we have lots of lovely raffle prizes, will be running a bar and serving a meal and selling crafts. We also will have live music! We will post some pictures after the event. Thank you all so much for your continued support- it means so much to myself and all the amazing people at TN. They couldn’t have managed it without your kindness and generosity!
