Give the Gift of Music
With Christmas approaching, a gift to World Heart Beat can create opportunities that last a lifetime. More than half our musicians receive free or subsidised tuition, ensuring financial circumstances do not prevent young people from accessing music education.
Your donation could provide refreshments (£25), instrument care (£50), performance opportunities (£250) or a year of music tuition (£1,500). Every gift includes a personalised certificate.
Alternatively, give the gift of World Heart Beat Membership from just £36 a year (£3 a month), supporting our academy and its young musicians.
You can also support our vital fundraising efforts by joining our Jazz Club Supper on 4 November or Classical Supper on 10 November. Enjoy a delicious three-course supper, drinks and performances by our stars of tomorrow and alumni.
Celebrating Our Impact
Our Jazz in the Gardens series once again over the summer months brought vibrant live music to Nine Elms, alongside free community performances and activities for young people.
Our EMERGE programme continues to grow, creating networks and career opportunities for creatives aged 16–25. As part of our free creative network series running from September to November, we held our very first Open Mic Night. This new series celebrates emerging talent building connections and creating opportunities for the next generation of artists, musicians and creatives looking to develop sustainable careers with the arts and creative industries.
We also began regular performances at Wandsworth Common Care Home, sharing the joy of live music with residents.
We are proud to celebrate Seb Rodriguez-Florez, who has begun studying Jazz and Double Bass at Trinity Laban, and Anjelo Disons, whose emerging talent was showcased through TONES of London by COLORSxSTUDIOS. Our alumni also performed at the prestigious We Out Here and Love Supreme festivals.
What's On
From now until December, we’re delighted to launch our inaugural Silk Road Music Festival, celebrating musical exchange and cultural connections from around the world. The festival brings together Sufi qawwali, Bengali-London jazz, Anatolian folk, Chinese and South Asian classical music, Armenian folk, Sudanese song and Indo-jazz.
From Friday 13 to Sunday 22 November, for the fourth year running, World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens welcome ten days of exceptional live jazz as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival, spanning contemporary jazz, soul, global music, vocal performance, and innovative cross-genre collaborations. Some of the most distinctive voices in contemporary jazz, including Jean Toussaint, Tony Kofi, Ricky Ford, Julian Joseph, Luiza Zan, Bálint Gyémánt Trió, Amira Kheir, Christine Tobin and Chris Coull Quartet featuring Imogen Ryall will be performing.
Other highlights include Together We Go Forward at the 606 Club on 15 November, our Christmas Community Concert on 1 December and the 51st State Band on 8 January 2027. Please come along and show your support!
Thank you for making all this possible!
Your support opens doors, nurtures talent and transforms young lives through music. Together, we can ensure more young people have the opportunity to discover their potential.
We look forward to updating you next time,
World Heart Beat
