For more than 56 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico has been making a positive impact on the lives of over 90,000 children, youth, and their families. Becoming a multigenerational transformation movement, not only for its comprehensive and innovative programming but for its efforts to eradicate poverty.
We firmly believe that every child and youth has great potential. We believe that their families should also have opportunities for growth. We believe that it is important for families to have opportunities for growth. We also believe in empowering individuals to develop skills necessary for success in today's economy. This was demonstrated in the first graduation of the YouthBuild economic mobility program, where 42 youths between the ages of 16 and 24 graduated.
YouthBuild is a free program that provides educational services aimed at obtaining high school diplomas and job training for participants, including components of emotional support, leadership skills development, and job placement and/or post-secondary education. These experiences not only insert youth into professional life, but also build bridges to future careers, inspiring dreams beyond what seemed possible.
