Boys & Girls Club of Puerto Rico is a non-profit organization with 55 years of service providing comprehensive services to youth runs 11 Clubs throughout the island, which are a second home to more than 12,000 children and youth. Providing a safe and supportive place during critical times of the day, strong role models, and programming organized around education, careers, health and life skills, arts, leadership, sports, and recreation.
Our Clubs are located in economically distressed communities and 90% of the children and youth we serve live in households with incomes below the federal poverty level with difficult access to basic services, including quality education.
With 11 Clubs throughout the island located in the municipalities of San Juan, Carolina, Bayamon, Loiza, Mayaguez, Isabela, Arecibo, San Lorenzo, Vieques, and Aguas Buenas, we are currently the largest youth-serving organization in Puerto Rico and employ more than 300 professionals. BGCPR empowers Puerto Rican children from low-income communities to reach their full potential.
Our strategic vision for the 2022-25 cycle is that, in three years, we will lead the national agenda to address the learning gap and children's social-emotional well-being. Our Educational Pillar has a variety of programs to address this vision.
