Dear donor,
CYDD not only gives scholarships to university students but encourages them to be contemporary individuals by organizing various events and trainings.
CYDD branches all support university students with scholarships and each has a “Contemporary Youth Unit”. These youth units organize various events with their branches. They also get together with youth unit members of other branches once a year in the “Youth congress” to discuss the projects chosen from Türkiye’s agenda that they have been working on for at least 4 months.
May was a busy month for the branch youth with different activities centered around the 19th of May “Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day”;
Beylikdüzü branch Youth realized the 3rd “Beylikdüzü Contemporary Youth Festival” on May 25th with 3500 youth and CYDD friends attending.The motto of the festival was “There is youth in this town” and aimed at giving hope to youth faced with inequalities in education, health and social life. Day long festival program included various workshops and two concerts.
Ankara branch members and students visited Antkabir,the resting place of our great leader Atatürk.
Izmir branch organized a night called ” If a pair of pigeons took off..” where the students presented a program full of music and poetry.They ended the night with a waltz performance,the favorite dance of Atatürk.
