Greetings from Sierra Gorda!
I´m Olivia, Head of the Community Environmental Education program at Grupo Ecológico Sierra Gorda.
I would like to share with you that these days we continue planning activities and starting with the camps that are aimed at young people in which they learn through first-hand experience about sustainable living in addition to relevant themes such as climate change, environmental services, benefits of forests, as well as proper management of solid waste.
Today, we know that we must all participate in the correct separation of waste and in clean-up campaigns to prevent our Reserve from becoming contaminated, thus avoiding chaos in the different corners of the Sierra Gorda mountain range.
We are also giving workshops for moms and young people on the use of biodegradable soaps for house cleaning, which helps to keep the environment clean and saves money.
In Grupo Ecológico, we continue working to help young people build a different future through environmental education.
