Our project emphasizes on our youth by healing, inspiring and mentoring displaced or impoverished children and healthcare professionals who would otherwise not be enabled without our mission. The impact is far reaching, where the children we treat and become life long friends with have access to our network of mentors, healers, educators, long after they have been provided with surgical care.
over 1.4 million Refugees in Jordan Lack of affordable healthcare, access, information and well trained healthcare professionals. Access to healthcare and education for displaced populations is limited. Since the onset of the crisis in Syria, Jordan has hosted approximately 600,000 Syrian refugees - 140,000 of whom are children. It is estimated that of these children, 35,000 are out of school. Nearly 500,000 including non-Syrian children.
This project will provide support for access to healthcare providers and educators, locally and internationally, through COWF's outreach program and missions. Through the deployment of outreach, case load collection with local partners, local team members and healthcare providers in the region, we can help solve the problem by providing access to healthcare for the most complex surgical needs, access to local/international healthcare providers, while delivering medical education workshops.
Resource center to engage, learn, conduct research based solutions, open NGO referral system, access to academic institutions and healthcare systems outside of Jordan. More local healthcare providers education, more children without ailments or conditions that prevent them from going to school and or families are enabled to be more productive without the burdens of having a disadvantaged child.
