Adjah Cancer Support Ghana is training young volunteers to become Youth Ambassadors for Health Education. These ambassadors will deliver health awareness campaigns, focusing on cancer prevention, hygiene, nutrition, and early detection in schools and communities. Your support empowers youth to educate their peers and create healthier communities across the Volta Region and Ghana.
Many communities in Ghana lack sufficient awareness about cancer and other critical health issues. Youth, who are key influencers in schools and communities, often lack the training and resources to educate their peers effectively. This gap limits the reach and impact of health education campaigns.
This project will train youth volunteers as Health Education Ambassadors, providing them with leadership skills, health knowledge, and educational materials. Equipped with T-shirts, ID cards, flyers, and posters, these ambassadors will organize and lead awareness campaigns in schools and communities, reaching more people with vital health messages and encouraging early detection and healthy habits.
By empowering youth to lead health education efforts, this project will create a sustainable network of young leaders advocating for healthy lifestyles. Over time, it will improve community health knowledge, promote early detection of cancer, encourage preventive care, and inspire more young people to participate in meaningful community service.
