Dear Donor,
I am writing to share an update on the impact of your continued support for women and children affected by the devastating earthquakes of February, 2023.
Now, more than two years later, the effects of the disaster are still deeply felt across the 11 provinces in the Southeastern Anatolia Region. In places like Hatay, thousands of families continue to live in container shelters and other temporary accommodations. In these conditions, access to hygiene, cleaning, and personal care items remains a pressing need—especially for women and children.
Thanks to your generous support, MaviKalem has continued its field efforts in Hatay, where the destruction was most severe. Since the last report, we've reached an additional 80 households with essential hygiene kits, including sanitary products, soaps, and cleaning supplies. These small but crucial items help women protect their health and dignity in challenging conditions.
We are also expanding our community-based outreach by listening to women’s needs and shaping our activities accordingly—ensuring that support is both practical and empowering.
Your continued care and generosity are at the heart of this work. With your help, we are not just providing aid—we are fostering strength, dignity, and hope in communities that need it most.
With deep gratitude,
