Support 1000 women affected by the earthquake

Dear Donor, 

I am reaching out to you to inform you about the women you support with your donations.

A year and a half has passed since the earthquake that hit 11 provinces in southeastern Turkey. With more than 50,000 lives lost and districts and villages almost wiped off the map, life has not returned to normal. Especially in Hatay, most of the population continues to live in container camps. Since the region is the hottest climate zone in Turkey, living in containers during these months triggers various hygiene and health problems and creates security risks, especially for women.

We used your donations to increase the number of hygiene, food and winter blanket distributions to women and children in Hatay. Mavi Kalem supported 50 households with your donations to this project in Hatay, the province most severely affected by the earthquake. I would like to share with you the thanks of a beneficiary in a household we touched with your support;

Dear Donor,

As always, we are aware of how important your donations are to us. Your contributions have enabled us to take significant steps towards improving the quality of life for women in the earthquake-affected areas. With your donations, we continue our efforts to reach our goal.

Our aim is to provide hygiene, dignity and cleaning materials to 1000 women. With the donations you have made so far, we have taken an important step towards reaching this goal. We have provided hygiene, dignity and cleaning kits to 60 women with the donations collected to date. These kits have helped women meet their basic needs and have facilitated their lives.

After the earthquakes on February 6th, needs continue, especially in Hatay. The need for basic materials continues. In Hatay, problems arise due to damage to the city's infrastructure. The ongoing difficulty in accessing clean water increases the need for hygiene and cleaning materials. With your support, we will continue to meet these basic needs. The majority of people in the earthquake-affected areas still live in container cities. Your support is crucial in meeting the needs of our community in these difficult times. The winter season we are experiencing has made living in temporary shelters especially difficult, particularly for women. Therefore, it is crucial that your donations reach women and support them.

With the strong support provided by your donations, we aim to reach even more women in the future. With more donations, we will reach more women. Without your generous contributions, the successful progress of our project would not have been possible. With your support, we will continue to improve the living conditions of women in earthquake-affected areas and provide them with a better future.
