Dear Donor,
I am happy to inform you that we have provided hygiene kits for 40 women living in the disaster zone with your donations in the first report of our project.
Although 6 months have passed, the effects of the earthquakes continue. Millions of people affected by the disaster continue to stay in temporary shelters. However, especially in Hatay, families living in groups of 10-20 tents in remote villages or neighbourhoods outside the official tent camps have limited access to aid. The region where the earthquakes took place is one of the hottest provinces in Turkey. Living in tents in weather reaching 40 degrees Celsius as of spring adversely affects the health of women and children.
As Mavi Kalem, we provided basic care and cleaning supplies to 40 women with your donations to this project in Hatay, the province most severely affected by the earthquake. I would like to share the message sent to us by a 34-year-old beneficiary; "May Allah be pleased with you. Thank you for being with us with the most useful help at the most necessary time. I am writing from Hatay, your staff who distribute are taking care of us with a smiling face and love without hurting us. We are grateful to you."
We will continue to do our best to deliver your support at the right time, to the right people and effectively.
With gratitude
