2,000 meals will be serve to people in need as street vendors, motocycle taxi drivers, patients, children in shelters,....through Peace & Happiness Shops of LCF in Central Vietnam to help them have full and enough energy meal. For each meal, the symbolic price is 1,000 VND - 2,000 VND. We hope that with each meal, peo pel in need can save a little more money for other more urgent living expenses; children will have nutrition meals.
Street vendors often move on the road, eat and drink in a temporary way . Meals are not guaranteed in terms of quantity and are not guaranteed in terms of food hygiene and safety. For street vendors, health is considered their capital. However, not eating properly, working too hard will affect their health. Many people only eat one meal a day or a portion of rice is divided into two meals or stop taking medicine because to save money for their children to go to school.
LCF provides cheap meals, with the symbolic price is 1,000 VND - 2,000 VND (free for children in shelter), through charity restaurant system named Smile (in Ho Chi Minh City); Peace & Happiness Shop in others area. The meal is full and enough energy to work. A lunch includes: rice, main course, side dish (stir-fried), soup and dessert and everyone can have unlimited extra rice to make sure everyone is full enough to continue working. 200-300 meals/day/restaurant are provided to people in need.
With each meal, people can save a little more money (20,000 - 25,000 VND/day) for other more urgent living expenses: children's tuition fee, daily medicine bills, electricity bills. Children have better physical development when they are well fed. Good nutrition is vital to growth.
