1. Breast Cancer Awareness and Information Campaign – Pink October 2025 Over the past six months, the Dar Zhor Association has focused much of its effort on preparing and implementing a large-scale national breast cancer awareness campaign, as part of Pink October.
This campaign was built around several complementary components :
This year’s campaign remained human-centered, educational, and accessible, mobilizing volunteers, healthcare professionals, and committed partners working together for prevention.
2. Social Action and Screening Day at INSAF Center – Hay Hassani
On October 10, 2025, a major social and medical outreach event took place at the INSAF Association Center in Hay Hassani Casablanca, under the initiative of Dar Zhor, with the participation of:
In total, over 100 women received awareness sessions about breast cancer risks, the importance of early detection, and self-examination techniques.
Each participant was offered a free mammogram, demonstrating the association’s commitment to combining awareness with concrete medical support.
The day unfolded in an atmosphere of compassion and listening, marked by meaningful exchanges and touching testimonies from women eager for information and reassurance.
3. The Theater Play : « Bnat Dar Zhor » – A Story of Courage and Resilience
Born from theater workshops organized within the association, this play is performed by beneficiary women — all cancer survivors.
They have transformed their personal journeys into a powerful and moving artistic performance, symbolizing courage, resilience, and the strength of sharing.
Performed twice already, the play has gathered more than 800 spectators, including partners, healthcare professionals, and members of the public.
Each performance has deeply moved the audience, offering a new perspective on the importance of early screening and psychological support in the cancer journey.
4. Broader and More Inclusive Awareness Efforts
Beyond its traditional activities in companies and healthcare facilities, Dar Zhor has chosen this year to expand its educational outreach to a younger audience.
Awareness sessions have been organized in high schools and vocational training centers, to talk openly about health, body awareness, and breast cancer prevention — with both girls and boys.
This innovative approach helps break taboos, encourages dialogue, and fosters a lasting culture of prevention from an early age.
5. Conclusion The past six months have been marked by remarkable mobilization around breast cancer prevention.
Through awareness campaigns, social outreach initiatives, and creative expression, the Dar Zhor Association continues to pursue its mission with conviction :
TO INFORM, SUPPORT AND RAISE AWARENESS – TO SAVE LIVES
