With the approaching date of Eid al-Adha, Umut organization launches its campaign to implement the Eid sacrificial project. The project will enable 225 families from the besieged Gaza Strip to obtain a share of meat. The families covered in the campaign are the families of the martyrs and wounded in Gaza.
The ongoing war in the Gaza Strip and the siege imposed on the region have seriously deteriorated the humanitarian situation. Providing daily needs for water and food has become extremely difficult and dangerous. There is a severe shortage of food and drink, and families there are at risk of disease and malnutrition. In light of these difficult conditions, providing a meal of meat for the family has become almost impossible, as the priority is given to flour, water, and vegetables, if any.
By carrying out the sacrifices and preparing them as packaged meat rations, 300 of the poorest families will be able to eat meat on Eid Al-Adha. The Gaza Strip is now the place most in need of sacrifices for Muslims from all over the world. The need there is urgent for all the basics of life, and as the problem worsens, most parties are turning to provide basic food, including flour, canned food, etc. Eid al-Adha is now an opportunity to deliver meat to the people of Gaza.
The people of Gaza are now in dire need of support in all its forms, not only materially but also morally, so such projects linked to an Islamic occasion convey to the people a very important message of their brothers standing with them and continuing their support for them, which alleviates their suffering and oppression.
