Dear Valued Sponsors,

Dakbhanga Bangladesh (DBD) is implementing primary education program through operating two primary schools since 1998 in the remote area of Ramu sub-district of Cox's Bazar districts of Bangladesh to educate underprivileged children with the support of generous peoples. The schools educates the children from ECD to Grade V with a minimum support to higher education of the project students. In every year we found that some children of poor parents used to drop out due to poverty of their family.

Our newly developed Zakat Program depends on the Zakat collection from the potential donors of Muslim Community of home and abroad. It is for developing the socio economic status of the upper mentioned poor with school children in their families through income Generating activities. We are committed to support the poor parents who are in economic hardship and bound to engage their children in child labor dew to their poor income status. We are firstly supporting 35 families of remote hilly area of Ramu, Cox's Bazar district in this program. We are providing them training and technical support to raise their incomes through different IGA. We also provide input and marketing supports to them through linkage with different marketing network.

Through our support they are trying their best to produce agricultural products in their own land/leased land like different type of home gardening, poultry, agriculture etc. Due to COVID the life of the peoples of disadvantaged community is so tough today. The price hike due to global unrest is a new challenge for the community too.

To continue the support to the prioritized selected parents to continue their children’s education at least up to age their 18 and to take part in the family life, the parents from the enthusiastic peoples from the humanitarian community of the world. We assured that DBD must use the support as Zakat must be used for the targeted school community with proper monitoring! We are planning to develop the families solvent through income generation by providing Skills Training by which they can able to change their socio economic status and to set themselves as the change agent of their communities. To achieve the goal we are looking for new donors who will give zakat recurrently to the deserving parents.
