Zakat can Empower Poor Parents in Bangladesh

With the help of kind donors like you, Dakbhanga Bangladesh (DBD) has been running two primary schools in the isolated Ramu sub-district of Cox's Bazar district, Bangladesh, since 1998 as part of a primary education initiative for poor children. With minimal funding for the project students' higher education, the schools educate the kids from ECD to Grade V.

In 2022, DBD supporting the poor parents of our school children through Zakat projects named "Zakat Can Empower Poor Parents in Bangladesh" which depends on the collecting of Zakat from potential donors both domestically and internationally. The goal of the project to raise the socioeconomic standard of the families living in poverty and having children in our project schools. We are committed to helping the low income parents of our project students by which the parents able to support the students to complete the full primary education cycle and continue their children’s education at least up to age 18, the parents need the support of enthusiastic people from the humanitarian community of the world as Dakbhanga have limited capacity to continue the activities. Out of the selected 35 families  we are currently assisting 5 households in the remote and incline area of Ramu, Cox's Bazar.We provided 4 goats to four families and a few families for fattening so they may add their income and support to their school-going kids to go forward.We supported another poor family with assistive device (wheel chair) who have 2 physically disable children.

DBD is required to allocate the Zakat support budget to the chosen school community while maintaining proper control and documentation. We are searching for new contributors who will consistently donate zakat in order to support worthy parents in fulfilling their goal of supporting their children's education and future.

Dakbhanga Bangladesh (DBD) has been implementing a primary education program by operating two primary schools since 1998 in the remote area of Ramu sub-district of Cox's Bazar district, Bangladesh to educate underprivileged children with the support of generous sponsors like you. The schools educate the children from ECD to Grade V with minimum support for the higher education of the project students.

In 2022, DBD launched a brand-new project called "Zakat Can Empower Poor Parents in Bangladesh" which depends on the collecting of Zakat from potential donors both domestically and internationally. It is intended to improve the socioeconomic standing of the impoverished who have school-aged children in their households. We are dedicated to assisting low-income parents who are forced to use their kids as slaves owing to their precarious financial situation. In the isolated, steep region of Ramu, Cox's Bazar, we are helping 5 households out of the 35 that were originally intended. We are supplying them with instruction and technical assistance so they can increase their incomes through various IGAs. Several of the parents work in agriculture, while others raise chickens, goats, or other continue support to the prioritized parents/families to continue their children’s education at least up to age 18, the parents need the support of enthusiastic people from the humanitarian community of the world as Dakbhanga have limited capacity to continue the activities.

We provided goats to a few families for fattening so they may add their income and support to their school-going kids to go forward.

With adequate oversight and documentation, DBD must spend the Zakat assistance budget for the designated school community. To help deserving parents realize their aim of providing for the education and future of their children, we are looking for new donors who will donate zakat regularly.
