Dear Donators,
Thanks so much for helping us working towards a zero waste island!
We know zero waste is not a possible goal in the world today but your donation helped us create more jobs for our waste management system.
We have employed 6 new people to deal with glass upcycling and composting.
We still dont have enough funding for an excavator that could help tremendously dealing with daily waste. We are still pushing the government to get one from them.
Through high season, we collect more waste, up to 20 tons per day, without heavy machines, it is very difficult to segregate the waste collected and finish setting up our sorting center. We hope to get some help soon for that.
Also high season, July/August/ September are the windy and dry months of the year. We had to turn off fire on the rubbish dump almost every week during July and August.
We used some of your donation to set up a water pump on a cart to be able to act fast if a fire starts.
With your help, we can overcome difficulties and we can look forward to a brighter future with our waste management projects. Again thanks so much for your help and support.
Keep spreading our actions, goals and needs,
Best Wishes
Cahyo, Delphine and the FMPL team
