Big Changes in Our Waste Management & Pony Retirement Program

We’ve officially retired our rubbish collection ponies and switched fully to motorbike-based waste collection for efficiency and animal welfare. Here’s what’s new:

Pony Retirement & Reassignments

• Mamba & Rainbow have been lovingly retired to a horse riding and rescue center.

• Agus has moved to Taxi Stables.

• Coklat will be rehomed to Horses of Gili, where he’ll continue to be well cared for. Dr Charlie is visiting tomorrow to check on Agus new home and health check on Coklat
  

Partnering with GeoTrash Management

GeoTrash management visited to assess our residual waste streams. We’re now preparing selected waste for their pyrolysis machine in Mataram—a major step toward a more sustainable waste cycle.

GeoTrash management can take styrofoam and refill washing product packaging! that would be great to not have this waste on Gili anymore!

• A “Yes/No Waste” billboard has been installed for our team to quickly identify and sort waste.

• The FMPL boys are now selecting, compacting, and sending approved waste directly to GeoTrash
