COC Netherlands has been advocating the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community from 1946 on, which makes it the longest-standing LQBTQIA+ advocacy organization in the world. COC strives for equal rights, emancipation and social acceptance of LGBTQIA+ persons in the Netherlands and around the world. We do this together with community members and allies. COC is rooted in the Netherlands, but active in over 35 countries supporting 200 local LGBTQIA+ advocacy groups. It's one of the few LGBTQIA+ organizations that has a special consultative status with the United Nations.
