At Education For All Morocco (EFAM), we believe that every girl deserves access to education, no matter her background. For nearly two decades, we have worked to remove the barriers that prevent girls and young women across Morocco from accessing education, building independence, and creating brighter futures. For nearly two decades, we have worked to remove the barriers that prevent girls and young women across Morocco from accessing education, building independence, and creating brighter futures. Today, we support girls facing some of the country's greatest educational inequalities - including those living in remote rural communities, girls from low-income families, and girls requiring specialist educational support. In Morocco, over 50% of girls and women are illiterate. Only around 55% of girls in rural areas continue into secondary education, while 79% of girls with disabilities remain illiterate. Thousands of girls are forced to drop out of school due to economic constraints, cultural expectations, early marriage, and lack of access to education. EFAM exists to change this. Through safe accommodation, educational support, university access, specialist learning environments, meals, healthcare, and long-term mentorship, we help girls stay in education and progress towards independent futures. Our programmes are designed not only to improve access to school and university, but to create long-term opportunities for employment, confidence, leadership, and social inclusion. Over the past 18 years: - More than 1,000 girls have been supported through education programmes - Over 250 young women have progressed to university - Our students consistently achieve examination results above the national average - Thousands of safe nights of accommodation and nutritious meals are provided every year to girls who would otherwise be unable to continue their education Our work continues to evolve as educational needs across Morocco change. Alongside supporting girls through secondary school and university, EFAM also funds inclusive education and vocational pathways that ensure girls with additional needs are not left behind. Education has the power to transform not only one girl's future, but entire families and communities for generations to come. With the support of donors, partners, and fundraisers around the world, EFAM is helping create a future where every girl in Morocco has the opportunity to learn, thrive, and live independently.
