Alhassan Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to all donors and supporters who contributed to supporting children with physical disabilities. Their generosity has had a real impact in giving these children a better opportunity for mobility, independence, and inclusion in society.
During 2026, Alhassan Foundation received waiting lists that included more than 500 children with physical disabilities, reflecting the growing need for wheelchairs that are properly suited to each child’s medical and functional condition.
In response, the Foundation’s team worked to meet with the children and their families directly in order to accurately understand each child’s needs and assess their health and mobility condition comprehensively. This process helps ensure that the most suitable wheelchair is selected according to the child’s condition and daily needs.
Alhassan Foundation believes that a wheelchair is not simply a mobility aid, but a key element in improving a child’s quality of life, supporting their independence, and enabling them to participate more actively in education, daily life, and society.
For this reason, wheelchairs are not selected using a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, each wheelchair is chosen based on several factors, including the child’s medical condition, physical abilities, exact measurements, and the surrounding environment, whether at home, at school, or in the places they move through every day.
Alhassan Foundation’s team includes specialists in wheelchair measurement and assessment, who have been trained by experts in Germany. This strengthens the accuracy of the technical evaluations and supports the selection of the most appropriate wheelchair for each child based on professional standards that take individual differences and specific needs into account.
Through this work, Alhassan Foundation continues its efforts to provide a specialized and humane service that responds to the actual needs of children, helps reduce the burden on their families, and opens wider opportunities for mobility, independence, and active participation in society.
