Micro Project seeks to continue a community-based kitchen in a remote areas of Guntur district, India. Our mission is to provide daily meals to 60 neglected elderly individuals who are at high risk of starvation due to lack of family or neighbor support, or because of illness. Additionally, some able-bodied women have expressed interest in contributing to the cooking and serving of these meals. To achieve this, we aim to raise $1500, which will sustain the provision of daily meals for two months
Elderly individuals in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India, endure abuse-physical, psychological, and financial. Malnutrition & hunger plague those living in slums and rural areas. Loneliness exacerbates mental health challenges. Financial dependence, particularly among elderly women, can escalate into abuse. Many single elderly individuals suffer from starvation and ill health. A collective response from the government and civil society is crucial to provide them with essential food and medical help
