Since Alhassan Foundation was established in 2013, we have been working closely with wheelchair users to understand the real challenges they face in their daily lives in Egypt. Over the years, we have seen many difficulties, but one problem has always stood out as one of the biggest and most limiting—Accessible transportation.
At 39 years old, Sherihan has lived with limb deformities since birth, affecting her knees and feet. Despite undergoing surgeries to correct these deformities, she remains unable to walk, facing significant challenges with mobility and independence.
Despite these challenges, she works as an employee, striving to maintain her independence and continue her daily responsibilities. However, her condition makes transportation a major obstacle, affecting her ability to move around and access her workplace and other essential services.
Recognizing her needs, Alhassan Foundation provided her with a tricycle adapted for people with disabilities, giving her a more accessible means of transportation. This support helps her commute to work, manage her daily responsibilities, and maintain greater independence.
However, her story is just one of many. Many other people with disabilities are still waiting for the same opportunity to gain mobility, independence, and access to employment.
Your donation can help us reach more people like her. Together, we can provide adapted tricycles to individuals with disabilities, helping them overcome transportation barriers, pursue employment opportunities, and build more independent lives.
Your donation can change a life. Help us reach the next person waiting for their chance at independence.
We want to thank each and every donor or supporter who helps us to achieve this success and we urge you to continue supporting us in our cause, our hope, our dream. You can do that through subscribing to a monthly donation option, which helps us secure more funds to help more wheelchairs users and their families.
