Not every child gets what they need to develop during the early years. Children and youth growing in poverty are less likely to care about other matters other than their daily bread. Learning is the least of their priority. Most Malagasy people face deficits in the education, training and skills they need to be employable and progress in their careers. Not to mention the existence of delayed transition from school to work, difficulty in securing jobs that pay a living wage.
We are joining efforts with local partners to ensure basic human rights are met for our recipients by developing their skills for employability, and by reducing barriers to the labor market. While gaining access to advice, technology, information, training, participants will also be exploring their personal abilities and professional goals. We collaborate with inspiring individuals who work in weeks and think in years to ensure basic human rights are met for our recipients.
Thanks to the continued support and commitment of donors and partners, we will continue to unlock people's potential to rise out of poverty and leverage services and technology for our beneficiaries. Employers gain access to a more skilled workforce by improving their business performance. Participants gain new healthy behaviors in daily life, new skills, knowledge, access to resources, ideally by improving their employment opportunities and enhancing their self-esteem and confidence.
