This project aims to plant 7,000 trees across urban, semi-urban, and rural areas to combat climate change, reduce air pollution, and promote a healthier environment. The initiative will actively engage communities in plantation and long-term care of saplings to ensure sustainable impact. Additionally, fruitful and shade-giving trees will be distributed to marginal farmers to support environmental conservation while enhancing their livelihoods.
UN reports show that global forest loss remains severe, with about 10.9 million hectares lost annually (2015-2025) and tropical primary forest loss spiking to 6.7 million hectares in 2024 due to fires and land clearing. Deforestation accelerates climate change and biodiversity loss. Air pollution now contributes to millions of deaths yearly, making urgent tree planting and conservation essential for health and planet stability.
Through this project, 7,000 trees including Neem, Peepal, Banyan, Rosewood, Amla, Mango, Jamun, and fruit and flowering species will be planted, distributed and carefully maintained across rural and urban areas. This initiative will help reduce climate change and air pollution while increasing green cover. Proper watering and fertilization will be ensured, and community members will be encouraged to adopt and nurture trees, creating long-term environmental impact and shared responsibility.
Tree plantation will purify polluted air, reducing respiratory diseases such as asthma and pneumonia. While not the only solution to climate change, it is one of the most powerful and sustainable strategies. Increased green cover will lower pollution, improve rainfall patterns, and create livelihood opportunities through fruit production, nursery development, and community-based maintenance ensuring both environmental and economic benefits.
