We at RSKS India deliver our best to improvise the condition the marginalized and deprived communities and all the RSKS India team members are committed towards impact. From time to time we see the impact stories from ground through our feedback forms. One of these wonderful Beneficiary's story is shared with you through this report.
Mesmerizing Story Of Birdi......!!
My name is Birdi. I am 57 years old and I live with my 2 grandchildren, 3 children and my wife in a small village in Ajmer. My children are busy doing daily wages work as they have to run the house and I do farming in our land. The covid-19 pandemic taught us one most important thing that whatever you have from yourself will always support you as during the covid-19 period, my children who were doing daily wages work were sitting at home and I was doing my farming work through which the whole family was able to eat grains. It is my wish to plant to some fruitful trees too so that my grandchildren can be healthy and my children do not have to worry about purchasing expensive fruits.
RSKS India team members came to my village and were searching for the people who need livelihood and nutrition support through getting fruitful trees. Many people went there to get selected but they selected only those who could really grow the fruitful trees. I got selected in that program and after few days, RSKS India team members came to our village and distributed fruitful trees like lemon, pomegranate, guava etc trees to all the people like me and told us about the importance of these trees and how we have to plant these trees. After this, RSKS Team members came back again to see how we planted the fruitful trees and to take feedback from us.
Now my wish to make my grandchildren eat fresh fruits of our house has become true. These are grafted fruitful trees and have started growing at a very fast pace and are having flowers which will soon become fruits. These trees will not only provide fruits but will also provide fresh air to next generations. This fruitful tree plantation work will not only contribute towards the global warming, it will also help in decreasing the heat and soil erosion. I thank RSKS team members and the generous donors through which this program got successful and tree lovers like me got these wonderful grafted fruit trees.
