Boys and girls love computing and that is true in Afghanistan too. One Kabul Learning Center has 10 male students who are working their way through the basics of computing and current software such as Excel, Word and Office and internet usage classes. There is a second  LC in Kabul that is exclusively computing, but  this time it is girls only! 60 girls aged 10-19 are working their way through a combined  English and Computing 6 month course. What a difference these classes are making to young people’s lives! Here is one story:

“We are Azmatullah and Yama and we both graduated from the computer course at the AIL Learning Center.  After completing this course we got admission to the  Banking Institute in DarulAman, Kabul – Afghanistan. At this  institute the Excel program is used for banking systems and we learned Excel in the  computer course .Now we don’t have any problem using the  program with the banking.    We are thankful for the AIL office that gave us the opportunity so that we learned a lot and now it helps us. I want AIL office to give more opportunity especially to areas that have poor people who can’t afford fees.”

Thanks for helping these young people with their computer skills.
