Harrabisauna village of Rapti Municipality-13 of Chitwan district in central Nepal is the home of indigenous Chepang people. The village struggles with various development constraints, and no connectivity with electricity is one of them. National grid electricity has not reached there because of difficult geographical terrain.
ECCA mobilized the local women, helped them establish women group and provided various trainings for livelihood development. ECCA also provided solar photovoltaic lamps to each of the 20 members of Kuitesh Women Group. Basic level sensitization was also done regarding the use of solar light before its distribution.
President of Kuitesh Women Group, Ms. Sunita is thankful for the support and shared that the solar lamp has eased her household work, which, previously, she had to do under kerosene lamp light.
ECCA is thankful for your support. Your contribution will help us support in improving the living standard of rural communities.
