THANK YOU For Your SUPPORT - Solar, Oct12

By Angel Chitrakar | Senior Program Officer

Solar Tuki Handover to Community
Solar Tuki Handover to Community

With YOUR SUPPORT, 65 household of Onewang Village, situated in a remote location in the hills of Chitwan with no access to electricity were equipped with Solar Light. Now, they do not have to rely on kerosene based wicked lamp for lighting their evening hours which had created enormous amount of negative health impact and economic impact in their daily life till day. In addition to the distribution of solar tuki, a group of 5 local youths were also trained for repair and maintenance of Solar tuki in case of need in future.

To increase the enrolment and attendance of students in school, the solar panels for charging the solar tuki were installed in the school as a mass charging station. This will encourage parents and Guardians to send their students to school in order to get their solar tuki charged and they could get clean and better light in evening hours.

We would like to acknowledge Shanti Griha (an organization working in Onewang Chitwan) for providing us an opportunity to serve in the community who are in need of those lights.

We acknowledge your support to date and seek your support to bring more impact in the life of these students studying and people living in rural areas. You can increase your impact through donating in October 17th, 12:00 Noon EST onwards in the website on Global Giving bonus day. Global Giving is providing 30% matching bonus in the donations received in projects and matching up to US $ 50,000. Hence, we would like to request you to circulate this message within your friends and family so that we could be able to raise more funds and change the life of needy ones.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to all our supporters, well-wisher and partners of Global Giving. We would also like to receive your feedback and suggestions in coming days ahead.

Thank You,

Angel Chitrakar
