Harrabisauna village, located in Rapti Municipality-13 of Chitwan district in central Nepal, is home to the indigenous Chepang population. The village faces numerous development challenges, one of which is the absence of electrical connectivity due to the region's difficult geographical terrain, which has hindered the extension of the national electricity grid.
In response to these challenges, ECCA has actively engaged local women by establishing women group and providing various trainings aimed at enhancing livelihood opportunities. Furthermore, ECCA distributed solar photovoltaic lamps to each of the 23 members of the Milijuli Women Group. Before the distribution, a basic level of sensitization regarding the use of solar light was conducted.
Ms. Naitimaya, President of the Milijuli Women Group, expressed her gratitude for this support, as the solar lamps has significantly alleviated her household responsibilities, which were previously managed under the dim light of kerosene lamp.
ECCA extends heartfelt gratitude for your support. Your contribution helps us support in improving the living standard of rural communities.
