Dear GlobalGiving Donors and supporters,
Support Yemeni Society Organization's team hopes this report finds you all well and healthy. Last month heavy rains and flash floods caused considerable damages to many buildings, roads, and dams in Yemen. Thousands of Yemenis have lost their houses and become jobless, and many families were displaced as a result. SYS Organization, with the support of GlobalGiving and your generous donations, has started implementing "An Appeal for Urgent Relief to Flood-hit Sana'a" Project. We started distributing food baskets to the most affected and needy people in the rural parts of Sana'a. We also distributed waterproof tarpaulins to cover some damaged houses' roofs.
To be honest, the size of the disaster is so big. Hundreds of houses need to be reconstructed or restored. However, we gave a hand to those helpless people and tried to implant smiles on their faces. They thanked YOU from their bottom hearts. Moreover, they ask you to continue helping them. It is only with your donations; we can continue helping them.
