As we updated last time, the AAT Team continued to assist their classes during the Covid-19 epidemic and closures.
This was also the case in the recent violence in Israel with internal unrest and thousands of missiles being shot over the country by terrorist groups in Gaza.
We went from helping kids get through epidemic to helping them cope with the fear of missiles and violence in the streets.
Some of the groups couldn't come to the Zoo during this time.
Our two Arab-speaking therapists (Abeer and Rami) went to the school of three of their groups. They brought a couple of animals (from Rami's home) and did their classes there.
There was a BIG need for the kids to ventilate all of the fear and anger that they were feeling at the time.
Thankfully, now things have returned to normal and we are grateful for such committed staff who care so much about the children in the Program.
