Ear infection is a common disease that often found in stray animals, Dogs are more prone to ear infections than humans because of the shape of their ear canal. It can be caused due to microorganisms like yeast, bacteria and fungi or may be sometimes due to some wound as well. Weather change also plays a huge role as during monsoon the chances of bacterial infections go high. whining, scratching, head shaking, discharge, odor these are the common signs and symptoms for these types of infections. If same noticed in any stray animals, it should not be ignored and treated immediately.
One of our mobile treatment vans has attended one such case during our field visit. The dog was suffering from an ear infection and it has been a while. The poor dog was in utter discomfort and pain. Luckily, the infection was not very extensive. Our vet team successfully treated the infection with a gentle cleanser, ear droops and antibiotics. Just within few hours, the stray was hopping and jumping and in no time, he went back to his normal playful routine.
Thank you, donors, for joining us and becoming a part of this amazing journey of animal welfare.
Hoping for such great cooperation in the future too.
