We are supporting a new school!!
ACDI has added a new institution to its educational strengthening project: Kindergarten N°1453 "San José", located in Varadero Sarsotti, southwest of the capital of the province of Santa Fe, which is the annex of the Itatí School in the Centenario neighborhood.
The kindergarten currently has a total of 80 students, aged 3, 4, and 5. Its students come from marginalized urban populations, their families are in conditions of social vulnerability and have difficulties meeting their most basic needs.
Some of the heads of household have no employment (they are unemployed), and others have informal occupations, working in the fields of masonry, street vending, or domestic work. Many of them benefit from non-contributory pensions that the State offers to families in these conditions of vulnerability (Universal Child Allowance).
These families, therefore, have difficulties in meeting their educational needs. That's why ACDI generates projects to accompany children with the purchase of teaching materials, school supplies, and uniforms, with the planning of recreational outings, cultural and expressive activities, teacher training, school support for children with special needs, among others.
With this new addition of the kindergarten, ACDI currently supports 14 educational institutions in 5 provinces of Argentina, all of them located in contexts of marginalization and extreme poverty. ACDI designs these projects together with the schools, with the aim of facilitating access and permanence in the school system, guaranteeing personalized and affective support to children and adolescents.
The schools work day by day to favor educational processes and provide quality education. ACDI complements all the schools' efforts by planning activities together with them that allow for strengthening learning and schooling, as well as buying items and materials that guarantee students' access to their violated rights.
