Assistance to Internally displaced people

We are so grateful for our generous supporters!

We have been able  to assist 559 displaced people who are living in camps. These people have been living there since the conflict in 2020 and assistance to these people has been greatly reduced due to "the non-emergency" situation, reduction in funding and Aid agencies going to more urgent areas of the world. This have left many people in dire situations.

As there was no time to do an in-depth assesments of the individual needs of people, we decided to support the elderly as they are often in need of other people assisting them to get water or food and many of them suffer from chronic disease as well. We also assisted a number of people living with disabilities.

We provided cash support for these people in 3 different camps, the beneficiaries were selected by the camp leaders and verified by our staff. We asked them to come to a place outside the camp in order to avoid problems from the other campdwellers who are all needy and we are unfortunately not able to help everyone.

The people were so appreciative of the support, they told us they will use it for food, medicine, hospital visits and a few were going to invest it in some chickens, to be sold later.

We felt a bit overhelmed and sad by the magnitude of the problems but at the same time, It warmed our hearts to see the faces of these people light up as they received the much needed cash.
