This project aims to improve the quality of life for 20 disabled children in the Democratic Republic of Congo by providing specialized equipment, access to healthcare, and inclusive education. It also seeks to combat stigma through community awareness, support families with psychosocial and economic assistance. By addressing discrimination, limited services, and poverty, the initiative promotes social inclusion and empowers children and their families for sustainable socio-economic development.
In the DRC, children with disabilities face exclusion due to stigma, poverty, and lack of access to essential services. Many families cannot afford medical care, adaptive equipment, or education, leaving these children without the tools they need to thrive. Schools and facilities are often ill-equipped for their inclusion, while societal biases perpetuate discrimination. This project addresses these challenges, aiming to provide critical support and promote the inclusion of 20 disabled children.
This project will provide 20 disabled children in the DRC with specialized equipment, access to medical care, and inclusive education, addressing their immediate needs. Community awareness campaigns will combat stigma, fostering social acceptance. Families will receive psychosocial and economic support to improve caregiving capacity. By equipping schools and empowering families, the project ensures long-term inclusion and development opportunities for the children.
The project will foster long-term inclusion and empowerment for children with disabilities by improving their access to education, healthcare, and social opportunities. Families will be better equipped to support their children, reducing dependency and poverty. Community awareness will break down stigma, encouraging acceptance and equal opportunities. These changes will enable the children to reach their full potential, contributing to a more inclusive and equitable society in the DRC.
