Moshwani Outpatient Clinic - Kalakan Region

I want to thank you for supporting our Moshwani clinic project in Afghanistan.

This clinic is located in Moshwani village in kalakan province 40 miles north of Kabul.

This clinic is an outpatient clinic providing general medical care, vaccination, pre- and post-natal care, minor surgery ,dental work and birth control.

Moshwani clinic provides medical care to 9000 villagers.

Since awareness of  covid 19 started in March of 2020 , the staff of the clinic started to take the necessary steps and inform the patients and the villagers.

When a patient enters the clinic :

•  Should have a mask
•  Recording their temperature
•  Their hands spray with alcohol
•  If a patient has fever and other sign and symptoms of Covid 19,they will be refer  to the special center for testing of Covid 19.

So far no case of Covid 19had been diagnosed in the clinic.

Moshwani is a very isolated village far from the city. During this harsh winter the clinic witnesses more cases of respiratory disease which require antibiotics and other necessary medication.

I want to include the statistic for 2021:

•  Total patients seen in Moshwani  Payan out patient  clinic, 23,259.
•  Internal medicine and pediatrics 8,448
•  Gynecology, antenatal, post-natal and family planning 3,893
•  Vaccination 4,314

The Moshwani Payan out patient clinic is located 40 miles north of Kabul,Afghanistan. This clinic has been active , caring for 9000 villagers of Moshwani Payan in Kalakan Provence. The clinic provides the villagers their medical problems, vaccination, prenatal  and post-natal care and birth control.

This clinic opened in July of 2007 and has 12 employees, an internal medicine, a dentist, two vaccinators, two mid-wives,  a pharmacist, two janitors, one grader and one driver. Moshwani Payan also provides doctors care  for two public schools  students ,  boys and primary girls school which is located across of our clinic. Total patients were seen in Moshwani Payan outpatient clinic last year was 28,000. ln month of July of this year, Moshwani Payan clinic was renovated, painted and continue to serve the villager.
