We send underprivileged first generation literate children to school. Their parents are uneducated and unskilled laborers,unable to pay the children's annual school fees. So the children drop out of school and pick up anti-social behavior. We support these children by paying for their complete education. Our after school program ensures that every child gets quality health care (vaccines,check ups), snacks, special meals, vocational training. We also celebrate their special moments and birthdays
In the heart of central Bangalore there are dozens of slums. The underprivileged parents do not appreciate that education will improve the quality of their kids' lives. Since they cannot afford the school fees they are indifferent to their child's truancy from school. Often these kids work odd jobs to help out their parents. This further compromises their future trapping them below the poverty line. They also pick up bad habits: smoking, drinking, gambling. Soon they become anti social elements
The project will enable the children to complete their education. They will learn additional skills like computer and vocational training. We help develop hobbies, motivate them to work with different groups of people who mentor them to obtain jobs and economic self-reliance. Nutrition, medicine and health care ensure physical stamina. Our over all development program will end the cycle of poverty and create well adjusted citizens in the community.
Education is a right for each child.Our education and after school will encourage 300 children to study thereby improving their chances for a brighter future. The children will come out of their slums and be productive members of the larger society. They will promote better values, knowledge and ideas among their families thus uplifting the previous illiterate generation. Education will help them solve problems of health, hygiene, addiction, sexual abuse and child marriage within their community
