Thank you for your generous donation in support of the TimeOut4Africa Education and Sports Foundation. We have good news to share with you!
In July 2021, one of our Alumni Samson who is from Minna and has in the last 5 years been in the United state attending school and playing collegiate basketball at University of Pittsburgh visited his family in Minna and at the same time partners with Timeout4Africa foundation to run a mini clinic with the young campers in Minna. We identified about 30 boys and girls between the ages of 14 - 16 to attend the mini clinic where he discussed life and basketball skills. The event was a fun filled event .The kids really enjoyed Samson visit with all the knowledge and the gift he brought for them. The day was caped with some food and refreshments.
We are also very happy to inform everyone that our student athlete Gideon, from our program, is now going into his 2nd year at BYU university in Utah, USA. He is doing very well in his school work and also performance very well with the school basketball team. His work collecting used shoes to send to Minna was featured on CBS television for the March madness during the NCAA tournament. Below is a direct link to the youtube video. https://youtu.be/AJxgWI1Qa6w or visit our website to watch the video.
