Protect & Care Child Labor in Brick Kilns in India

Greetings and good wishes to you from BASS 

Thank you so much for oyur kind continuius support to operate special worksites school for the Sesaonal migrated child labour from Odish to work in 12 brick industries at Choutuppal arreas, Telangana. Every  year 200 families migrated from Odisha sate to come to work in brick kilns at Choutuppal Brick industries for a period of six months from January to June along with their children. 

Therfore BASS is continuously operating a special worksite school for the child labour identifed in the bric industries.  Currently  5th batch is stated from 2nd January 2021 with 40 children. We are facilitating vocational skills training in small job opportunities trades like candle making, dress making, phenoil, pickles, pain balms and other handicrafts with our two intuctors Kanthamma and Chandra Kala. 

Unfortunately worksite school fourth batch is distrubbed with covid lockdown from March 2020 and again this year 5th Batch worksite school also stopped from last week of April 201 due to covid second wave. All the migrated families are again struck in the brick industries without work and live in their huts with starvation, and they are not able to go back to their native places. And coronavirus infections are increasing a lot in these areas and many  people are dying continuously with coronavirus. Besides shortage of beds and severe oxigen facilities in hospitals even severe conditioned patients are not able to get timely medical treatments.

Please kindly support this project to give urgent essential food ration kits and sanitiser kits to 200 families in this project area.
