Dear Friends and donors!
Greetings from BASS Worksite School for seasonal migrated child labour in brick industries, Choutuppal, India.
This is our pleasure to present this project progress report for the last quarter 2022.
We are very happy to inform you that the 6th Batch worksite school 2022 has been successfully completed by 30th June 2022. The 40 children in this batch, learn formal education, life skills and vocational skills training in Candle making, phenol, dress making with the help of two trainers. Children are very happy to attend in the classroom instead of staying at the brick kilns along with their parents. At least 200 families migrated to Brick industries during the first quarter of 2022 and stayed up to June 2022.
The project was very successful and all the children did not work in brick making with their parents. BASS team and staff are successful in operating the centre to prevent child labour here. The officers from the Government departments including labour, police and education visited the centre and appreciated the project and all the families left to their homes in Odisha by July 2022.
And now again from January 2023, many families are coming to work here in Brick industries on a seasonal basis.
Therefore, we need to start 7th Batch worksite school 2023 from January 2023. We are seeking your support to operate the centre for 6 more months, We need to pay school rent, two teachers remunerations and education and vocational skills training material and Nutrition support.
Unfortunately, there are no donations received for this project for the past years 2021 and 2022.
We humbly request you to kindly support this project to continue to operate 7th batch of worksite school 2023
Thank you
Sincerely with gratitude
