Many children in rural areas like Balangoda, Ampara, and Lunawa in Sri Lanka cannot afford essential schoolbooks and materials. Despite free education, lack of textbooks, stationery, and learning resources severely limits their ability to keep up academically. This creates educational gaps, lowers confidence, and increases dropout rates, trapping children in cycles of poverty and reducing their future opportunities.
This project will provide complete schoolbook sets and essential learning materials to 200 children in underserved communities. By supplying textbooks, stationery, and creating mini-library corners, we ensure students have the tools needed to fully engage in their education. With these resources, children can improve their academic performance, build confidence, and stay motivated to complete their schooling.
By giving children access to books and learning materials, this project helps break the cycle of poverty through education.
