The educational, environmental, and social problems addressed by this project are all simultaneously resolved. Bottlecaps are initially gathered from educational institutions, other, organizations... Giving them to a recycling firm is the next step. For the sustainability of our environment, this will help to safeguard the environment from these harmful substances. The funds acquired from collecting are directed towards purchasing wheelchairs or supporting devices for individuals in need.
Currently, the globe produces 400 million tonnes of plastic waste annually. Armenia generates roughly 6,000 tonnes of recovered plastic waste each year, according to UNDP research. Armenia is covered in plastic. Sadly, the cycle of contamination in the land, air, and water is still active. In Armenia, there are 381000 students enrolled in educational institutions. Within these institutions, there are no adequate guidelines or prevention procedures on the risks of plastic.
Reaching more than 10,000 children, Develop collaborates with more than 50 schools.We conduct interactive and comprehensive educational workshops in schools across the nation. These workshops are meticulously designed to underline the importance of recycling, with a special focus on the collection and recycling of bottle caps. From recycling to transformation.We have gathered 25 tons of bottle caps. As a result, it was possible to assist more than 20 individuals and the rehabilitation center.
By bridging environmental sustainability and social welfare, Develop Armenia exemplifies the powerful impact of simple actions, demonstrating that innovative recycling initiatives can be transformative. Our population which today counts as 10000 students is increasing. Our goal is to reach 40000 by 2025. Those are future recycling pioneers. The core of Develop Armenia's mission is the aim to foster a culture of environmental consciousness and to encourage sustainable practices from a young age.
