Over the past three months, Develop Armenia has continued to make significant progress in advancing environmental awareness and circular economy practices across Armenia. During this period, we successfully collected and diverted an additional 1,000 kg of plastic bottle caps from the environment, preventing them from entering landfills and natural ecosystems.
Our initiative has continued to grow, with new companies and schools joining the program, demonstrating increased public and institutional engagement in sustainable waste management. The participation of private sector partners has strengthened our collection network and helped expand the reach of our awareness campaigns.
Through ongoing educational sessions in schools, we have further enhanced students’ understanding of the environmental risks associated with plastic pollution. These sessions not only provide knowledge but also encourage students to take practical action by participating in collection efforts and promoting responsible waste practices within their families and communities.
As part of our commitment to circular economy principles, we have continued to emphasize the importance of reuse and resource efficiency. Our project remains focused on transforming everyday waste into a tool for education, collaboration, and community empowerment.
The growing number of participants and partner organizations reflects the increasing recognition of environmental responsibility among young people and local institutions. This collective effort is helping to build long-term behavioral change and fostering a culture of sustainability across different regions of Armenia.
We remain committed to expanding this initiative, strengthening partnerships with schools and businesses, and inspiring more communities to adopt environmentally responsible practices.
