Breaking poverty cycle for 70 youths in Bogota

She`s Marcela, Gineth’s (Mamu) mother; she will obtain her Bachelor`s deegree on Education on October 28^th this year.

She joined Pintando Caminos without completing 5^th grade, thanks to the supporting and motivational environment provided by our organization she may fulfil her dream to become a teacher.

The best and swetest part of this story is that she didnt believe she had what it takes and be able to acomplish something such as that, howver, today she inspires other women from the area and within her family, of which she is the first to graduate in many genarations.

Currently Marcela volunteers during the afternoon at Pintando Caminos, supporting and working whith children who are not able to read and write properly, which she does as means to pay it forward and give something back.

Thanks to You and the many people which during have believed in Pintando Caminos for the past 15 years , we may  share love stories such as Marcela’s.

They are the children Sandoval, they entered Pintando Caminos 2 months ago, by themselves came alone to ask for food, as our philosophy is not to give things for free, because we are convinced that the children should earn them, we proposed to them enter in our projects. That day they were really happy and since then they have not stopped attending

One day we found out that at their home, they cooked with firewood because they don’t have public services, so we decided to invite them to lunch every day with us. Their father is a drug addict and their mother, due to her job, stays out of his house for long hours, so the children food is not as well cared as should be.

These 4 children Angueli, Guillian, Emanuel and Julian have changed the lives of all the people that surrounds them within Pintando, Emanuel the younger had difficulty adapting because he’s quite restless and aggressive.

Currently Emanuel is able to stay in the class room and no longer tries to hit his classmates, last Thursday congratulated him for his good behavior, we understood that what was missing in his life was Love and that made him feel important, helped in kitchen tasks, chopped pencils and so he was accommodating To the living room

They have shown us once again but with great force that LOVE IS A FORCE ABLE TO TRANSFORM HEARTS
